In 2014, the World Equestrian Games will be held in Normandy. This is the first time that France this international event. Normandy has many two national stud: Haras du Pin and the Haras de Saint-Lô, many international equestrian competitions and major horseracing, including Deauville, Caen, Lisieux, Rouen, Graignes, Alençon, of Cars Orne, Argentan, Flers, the Haras du Pin and Vaudreuil.
Over 90 equestrian centers offer courses for beginners or advanced, walking, hiking several days riding eventing, show jumping competition.
